Thai Lion Air will be offering a new service of twice-daily flights from Bangkok Don Muang International Airport to Chiang Mai. They are also in the midst of their application for traffic rights for new routes from Bangkok Don Muang to Kuala Lumpur and Jakarta, which they hope to launch by end December 2013.

The airline’s latest addition to their fleet are 2 new 215-seat 737-900 ERs and is currently waiting for 1 more to be delivered by March 2014. This is in line with the airline’s plan to boost service on existing routes and add on new destinations such as Singapore and Hat Yai from Bangkok.

Thai Lion Air prides itself on the differentiations they offer from other low-cost carriers. This includes no hidden cost in their pricing, no additional fuel surcharges and free check-in baggage of up to 15kg.
